The emails POURED in all day!
Whenever we get down or discouraged, the response from all of you makes this all worthwhile.
Offers of money to help fund the transport, people to drive different legs, ideas, links to places that might help us – were all sent!
We have such a great team and such great supporters.
People with no time or money, pressed for both, OFFERED both – and other resources – everyone pitched in.
They made suggestions, looked up old friends to try to get them to help, offered to fly down and drive the dog back, sent this out far and wide to other lists….
It was amazing.
Collectively – we did it!
This boxer mama and her future pups have been saved thanks to ALL of you!
Not only that but six ten week old puppies that were to be killed along with her – that were just 20 minutes away from being euthanized, are also being added to the transport. They will come to Pets Alive, be spayed and neutered and be placed in loving homes.
Anyone that would still care to make a donation to help cover costs of gas and other necessities – it is of course welcome, but the biggest part of this is done.
THANK YOU ANGEL DOGS for stepping up. You are TRUE ANGELS!
Thank you to EVERYONE who has helped us all day.
They are safe and will soon be in our caring arms.
Hey, Kerry and Matt…just sent you a few $$$ to help with this transport in any way you need…you are such a blessing…
Every week 1000 of Georgia dogs face death but every week I plead for this one little animal control with 9 runs that are always full every friday. Today was packed more then ever with cats, kittens, dogs and puppies. On the last update no pups were out of there. It was a sad moment and I left the computer. Thinking they all were gone. When I returned I found the Pets alive update in my email and there was the boxer mom, that I knew was tagged for rescue and the note about the pups. All in tears forwarded to a few others that post for this shelter. Thanks for helping this little place in Franklin GA and giving these pups a second chance. I’ll be hopeing for more happy tails for this cute bunch. 🙂

My wonderful hubby, Bob, and I had the GREAT pleasure of picking up these incredibly sweet pups in Chattanooga from Maria and Susan (the absolutely awesome ladies who drove 6 hours to pull these furkids!!) And they gave us Great News! One of the 6 puppies had been adopted that morning! (Yay Puppy!) So our troupe of 5 puppies and Momma Boxer climbed a couple mountains, and traveled like champions (while playing with their first squeakie toys!) and made our way to meet Cindy and Kathy and the rest of the pups from Milan, TN. Enroute, we took a little detour to Petco and got our 6 passegers some lovely new collars and some “snickerdoodle” scented puppy shampoo. We stopped off at my work and all the little angels got their first baths ever! I can’t say everyone enjoyed it, but the warm water felt nice and no longer smelling like … well… yecky! sure made everyone a little more comfy. Meanwhile Momma Boxer, who is painfully shy but is sooo willing to trust and be loved on, just hung out at my feet and occasionally help me dry one of the puppies off when they bounced, stumbled, strolled, rolled, bumbled by. Momma is a super sweet, wonderful girl. You will absolutely fall in love when you meet her. She’s had a hard time, to be sure, but she is so loving and gentle. She is going to be somebody’s best friend in no time!
When it was time, we packed everyone safely back up and headed over to meet Kathy and Cindy. The transfer between vehicles went smoothly and, paws crossed, everyone should be pulling into Pets Alive pretty soon!!
Thanks Kerry and Matt and everyone who stepped up to help these little angels… You saved 6 lives today.
Keep up the great work!
With love for the critters,
Tracy Clark
