The Petco Foundation, together with BOBS from Skechers, want to know all the ways, big and small, that your adopted pet has changed your life for the better. Winning stories will receive a Holiday Wishes grant award for their adoption organization ranging from $5,000 to $100,000 for the grand prize winner! PLUS winning adopters will receive a Petco shopping spree and BOBS from Skechers shoes!
And new this year! In addition to the Holiday Wishes grant awards for most impactful stories, the five animal welfare organizations with the greatest number of valid story submissions at the end of the submission period (September 23) will receive grant awards ranging from $5,000 to $25,000!
Help Pets Alive earn one of these grants by submitting your Holiday Wishes story by September 23:
1. If you’ve adopted a pet from Pets Alive that is still alive today, share how your pet changes your life for the better each and every day. Write your story in 500 words or less.
2. Upload at least 4 photos to support your story: one photo of your pet by him/herself, one photo of you or your family with your pet and two additional photos. You can add an optional video too! Read the 2019 winning winning entries and get some inspiration. Remember, good stories will show how your pet changed YOUR life.

4. Submit your story and photos to Petco by Sept. 23, 1:00pm EST. But hurry because only the first 10,000 stories are guaranteed to be reviewed for the most impactful story awards. Note: Your submission will still qualify for the “most submission” awards right up through September 23, when the contest concludes.

Be sure to read the “FAQs” for useful information about how to craft the best story and other rules, e.g., you may only submit ONE story even if you adopted several pets from Pets Alive. Your story can be about a cat, dog or farm animal.
