Yard Sale Raises 2900!!
Becky and many other volunteers (Debbie & Debby especially) coordinated a huge yard sale to benefit Pets Alive. And it did. They raised over $2900 over the course of two days. Every one of the items sold was donated, and volunteers worked for days to price everything, set it up and staff the sale days. It was an amazing and touching display of love and support. Thank you to EVERYONE who volunteered and donated items. We’re doing another one, I hear, in the spring. Thanks also to Yvonne, Dina, Cathy, Linda, Camille, Carmine, Terry, Tom, Chris, Larry, Toni, Melissa, Claire, Stacey, Sonya, Lynn to name only a few)
Adopt a Run
Tootie and Julie came up with a great idea for sponsoring Pets Alive. Rather than sponsoring an animal we are encouraging our regular volunteers to sponsor a run. No money is involved in this sort of sponsorship. You’ll basically be adopting a dog run and you can make it up any way you want. Put whatever bed in there that you like, build up the water station, hang bling on the walls, put your own decorator tarp on the top – whatever you can conceive (within reason and safety to staff and animals of course) we’ll welcome! You can even make your own sign: “This run adopted and managed by XX”. So come on down, pick a run, and do it up! We look forward to what you will create. Best run wins a prize!
